Key Responsibilities

1. Outpatient Clinic Duties

• Assist doctors during patient consultations and medical procedures.
• Record vital signs including BP, pulse, temperature, SpO2 and blood sugar.
• Perform ECG recording and patient preparation.
• Administer IV infusions, IV injections and IM injections as prescribed.
• Perform urinary catheter insertion and removal, within scope of practice and under appropriate clinical protocols.
• Perform wound dressing, nebulisation and other nursing procedures.
• Assist with medical examinations and health check-up packages.
• Maintain patient records and nursing documentation.
• Ensure infection control, sterilisation and proper biomedical waste disposal.

2. Industrial / Corporate Healthcare

• Provide nursing support at industrial and corporate medical facilities.
• Conduct basic health assessments and first aid.
• Attend to workplace injuries and medical emergencies.
• Assist in pre-employment and periodic medical examinations.
• Maintain occupational health records and emergency registers.
• Coordinate with doctors and safety officers.

3. Homecare Services

• Undertake nursing visits at patients' homes.
• Provide prescribed IV and IM injections, IV infusions and wound dressing.
• Perform ECG recording and monitor vital signs.
• Provide catheter insertion and removal where clinically indicated and authorised.
• Assist elderly patients and patients requiring nursing care.
• Report changes in patient conditions to the treating doctor.

4. Emergency & Clinical Skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – mandatory.
• Ability to recognise and respond to medical emergencies.
• Competency in CPR and use of an AED.
• Ability to provide first aid and initial emergency care.

5. General Responsibilities

• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Ensure proper maintenance of nursing equipment.
• Follow clinical protocols and infection control guidelines.
• Be available for rotational shifts, including night duty.
• Travel for industrial assignments and home visits as required.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing.
• Valid registration with the relevant State Nursing Council.
• Valid BLS certification – mandatory.
• Practical experience in ECG, IV, IM injections and catheterisation.
• Freshers with relevant clinical training may also apply.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts and night duties.
